and a good one too. 10th update of the summer has to be right? well it is.
not much happened between the last update and the weekend really. i did get to spend some quality time w/mike, eating his lunch concoction and playing foosball on his front porch. i'm going to miss him when he runs off to chile. i slightly sprained the ankle which is a slight bummer but it happens, nothing bad really just a pain every so often. the weekend was actually really nice, potluck at lindsay's was really good, it was nice to have just a simple evening of good food, allison insisting we play musical chairs, and a volleyball game in slight rain and definite darkness. and then yesterday was probably one of the best days i've had this summer... first off i got to spend most of the morning with gomathie since neither of us had too much work to do... we lunched and got some really good talking time in which was nice. then at work dee agreed that my task is not quite as simple as we would like so now i don't feel like an utterly incapable person. after that, brandon and i went up to hamburg and i bought meself a nice blender for the apartment. came home for like an hour and then headed out again w/eli to the legends game which wasn't great since we lost and it was a kind of long game, but it was really nice weather and it was fun just to get out a little. after that, on the ride home i managed to coordinate dinner for tonight (phone tag is not my favorite game) AND we visited wusi and just had a really good time chatting for a bit and just being goofy. and marc called and told me about his trip, and i would have liked to have talked to him more since it's been awhile but oh well, 1 am is a little late for a long conversation. yesterday was just really nice for me for the most part, if i'd gotten in a little mcat studying that might have been more productive but screw it, i'll probably do plenty of that when i head out to memphis and try to hide from the munchkins (not AGAIN... this time w/o a room or a car!)... but yeah, most of yesterday just leaves me smiling. and i have plans for tonight and probably wednesday night, and i'm beginning to feel really connected w/my friends again... i think just the little things like lindsay's and me and eli showing up at wusi's are what really make me smile for a long time, it's those times when you don't really have many expectations and they don't turn out to be like the most fun ever but they're just really really good. tonight cooking dinner (don't ask yet) should be interesting, we'll see if stef's house survives it all. hahaha. well i'm off to try my hand on tuesday...
