Wii: I've decided not to get Furu Furu Park due to poor reviews and because I could probably buy the one game in it I want (Arkanoid) on PC. I'm on the fence about Puzzle Quest, No More Heroes and Endless Ocean. Plus I found Super Mario Galaxy Wii on sale at Target for $37 (along withg Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2).

I almost didn't buy Guitar Hero III because I failed so miserably at the store demo on Easy on a tier 1 song, "Hit Me With Your Best Shot."

Last night it was the first song I've played perfectly, every note. Now that song displays with five gold stars next to it. :smile:

I can see this becoming another "collecting" obsession far too easily.

I received my subscription of Game Informer this weekend and wanted to give a shout out for their recognition of one of their Villains of the Year -- Guitar Hero III's "Through The Fire and The Flames". Look it up on Youtube for a laugh at how insane this button pressing monster song is. Truly jaw-dropping.

Well, I am out of the ping-pong tournament at work. I fell in second round play in two quick games but I got past the first round this time. I have probably put ten hours into Guitar Hero III on the Wii. I am really rocking away (at Easy difficulty) with something like 39 of 42 songs down. I even scored a few Five Star ratings. One song I only missed three notes out of some 250+. I have other things I'd like to try and post but the game beckons (at 1:33 AM).

Yes, I buckled and purchased the Wii version of Guitar Hero III. I would have bought one of the other ones if I had owned those systems (PS3, X360) as I had heard it reported that the Wii version shipped in mono rather than stereo sound. Also the Wii won't apparently be getting the purchasable extra songs via download. So why did I get it ( Read more... )
