Of course being in Berlin I can't not to visit one of the greatest "masterpieces" of XXth century - the remnants of the wall:
On one side of the Zimmerstrasse is this building - Berlin city council:
On another this - art museum:
For thirty years those houses were separated by the wall:
Small remnants of the wall were left as a monument for the future generations (behind this wall once stood houses in which such infamous organizations as SS and gestapo were located):
Wall was really depressive construction ...
Of course I can't not to visit another remnant of Cold War - remnants of famous Checkpoint Charlie - place which separated two entirely different ways of life - natural and unnatural:

25 years ago those tables had entirely different meaning:
In August 1961 the world stood here very close to the WWIII. Historical photos remembering today those days. Probably never American and Soviet tanks was so close to each other:
The wall looked in some places as a very impressive line of fortifications:
