I visited one office today during lunch time. And immediately observed one strange thing - the streets were very crowded comparing with the view that I saw during last few weeks. At first I can't understand the origin of this phenomena but soon guessed the reason:) Today I was very surprised looking to the thermometer at home in the morning: at first it showed -2 degrees and when I left the home the temperature was strange -1,4 degrees. In fact weather began to change on Sunday: if on Sunday morning thermometer showed here -18,8 degrees then late in the evening only -8,4 degrees.
So today I felt the first breath of soon coming spring. That's a good thing after a period of real cold: here spring has entirely different meaning than spring has e.g. in Britain. Here spring is really one of the four periods of the year.
And on occasion let us remember weather map of Lithuania e.g. from 2012 02 05 (from meteo.lt): )))
And let us remember that average temperature for the February 1-12 in Vilnius was -18,2 degrees (norm -4,3) while for the first week of February it was -22,2 degress (norm -4,9) :))) Spring is coming ...
