Recently I am involved in the "mature socialism" period districts :) As a supplement to this topic is the district Naramowice in Poznan. In this district I lived during my June stay in Poznan:
Naramowice is one of the typical residential commiblock districts in Poznan. There are so many such type districts all over the Central and Eastern Europe. So my view to it.
Probably this photo may be the best representative photo of the district:)
Houses:
Most of the buildings were built in the 1970s and 1980s. What makes me to be jealous - in Poznan nearly 100% of them are renovated:
This is in contrast with the hotels built in the same period (not in Naramowice) - many of them are still not renovated (situation is completely opposite in Lithuania). E.g. two hotels from the same period:
Typical yard in Naramowice:
Another difference from Lithuania - in Poland architects in that period liked to build long homes. These are three photos of the same house:
Administrative building in the district (local urząd). It somehow resembled to me Lithuanian parliament building in Vilnius but of course is much smaller:
Unofficial center of the district is the crossing of the streets Naramowicks, Serbska and some others which name I can't remember today:
Here you can find several newer buildings:
In smaller sidestreets views could be represented by these photos:
This was my view to the one of the typical socialism period districts of Poznan ...
