The consequent part about Panevėžys. Today the Jakšto street area:

First again let's look to the map. If in the report Nr 2 we visited Laisvės square area (marked in red on the map), in the report Nr. 3 we visited Respublikos street (marked blue), today we will go to the area marked in green:

The last glimpse to the eclectic former bank now night club - the result of early 1990s (bank building built in 1993, went on bankrupcy in 1996):

The first bigger building on the other side of the Nevėžis river is the old sport palace (late 1950s). Now Panevėžys has modern sport complex - Cido arena - so I don't know if the old complex is used widely:

Monument to the Panevėžys football players - once the footballers from this town formed the kernel of Lithuanian football and even now Panevėžys team is one of the strongest in this country:

Near the palace is the football stadium but it is nor big nor interesting. Going further we can find several administrative buildings from 1930s:

Even further - school. Now it is called Panevėžys Senvagė school with sport profile; earlier in was Panevėžys sports  school - internate. The old corpus built in 1935 by arch. Vytautas Landsbergis-Žemkalnis:

Sculpture from the 1970s in front of the school:

Newer buildings are from 1970s and 1980s:

It is unclear to me when this decoration was placed:

Monument to famous basketball coach R. Sargūnas who worked here:

Since we are walking near the river we can see the views on the other side. E.g. this is former "Ekranas" culture palace (now Panevėžys town culture palace) (1981-1987):

Exotic and contrasting decorations on old industrial buildings:

The other side could re reached using several small bridges. One of them:

Panevėžys was called town of mills. In this town still is located the biggest mill company in Lithuania - Malsena. But most of the old mills these days has other uses. E.g. this is hotel "Romantic" - probably the most expensive in this town. It is the result of reconstruction of old mill:

The prestige and the price are in part influenced by the fact that the hotel is located near Senvagė park - one of the most popular zones in this town:

On the last photo (all those photos were done from other to the Jakšto street side of the river) you can see one big building with many others around. This is Panevėžys hospital complex - the last bigger object on the street that we walked along today.

We are approaching:

The biggest corpus:

Probably hospital has about 10 buildings of various sizes. One for the example:

And crossing the hospital we are on the Smėlynės street. But this is topic for the next report.
