Mystery Night

This past Monday, I got to engage in City of Heroes RP for the first time. I was running around on Trent when I received a tell: "Hey, Mick's Sister! Want to join us for a bit of RP? We're having a Mystery Night and since Trent is PPD (Paragon Police Department), maybe we can have him drop by the meeting." After I got over my initial shock (it came right out of the blue), I was intrigued.

It was a little awkward dropping into a closed meeting without a reason, and several of them made the clear (ICly, of course); but after a while, I got a little more comfortable and was actually able to contribute something more than reactive emotes. It was actually a blast!

The gist of the story is that villains have been turning up with painful, magically-induced lacerations and are being forced to do the bidding of a mysterious party in exchange for healing. Our little group thwarted an Arachnos bank robbery and Warriors attempting to steal a certain book from a museum. (I'm guessing this book is going to be important later on.) And interrogation of the perpetrators revealed that the Banished Pantheon might be behind this string of crimes. Next Monday, we get to continue the session and find out more! At the end of the night, Trent had a new supergroup!

Originally, my brother was supposed to participate in this RP, as his friend (the guy who whispered me) leads Mystery Night every week; but it completely slipped his mind, and since he saw that I was playing, he said he didn't have the heart to kick me off.

That dork! Now I feel all bad! I offered to let him step in next week, but he said I could finish this storyline. That was so nice of him, though! Now I'm really looking forward to it!

But this does highlight an important problem. I need my own account...
