Green eyes glinted in the darkness of the alleyway, untouched by the flashing red and blue across the street. A robbery at the sushi joint. By the time the proprietor -working late to do some accounting for the shop- had heard the shattering window and run out to the main room, there had been no one there. The till (and the freezer) had been emptied.
In the alleyway, one grimy hand stroked through the black fur, feeling the low rumble at a job well done. Good human, purred the cat. You are not completely useless.
They vanished into the shadows.
