(no subject)
I just posted this to Facebook. I'm sorry, but dream width's photo stuff is so freaking annoying that I'm unlikely to actually put the photos in.
Maybe I can separately upload some of them to my Vvalkyri Google photos.
Evening services over zoom ended maybe 10 minutes ago. I joined them while on a walk, and it was perfect. About 3 minutes ago, I learned RBG died, and like everyone else I care about, I said, Fuck. About a minute ago, some guy came up to me and said he was a messenger of God and I said "Happy New year" and walked off. Just now, I was walking up toward a woman who was holding a phone and yelled Shit and I said, yeah. And she said to the person she was on the phone with that that was the third person who had known exactly what she was yelling about and said, yeah. eventually I figured out she was talking to someone on the phone, and, yeah, both of us tend to talk to strangers the same way.
I'm almost home. I'll get the rest of my stuff in the car and go up to Ken's and join him for brisket and we'll do morning services together, and in the middle of the day some of my family will get together on zoom.
And I find myself thinking if there's some sort of meaning to the timing of this news. And whether there's any way to thwart what a certain Mitch McConnell will undoubtedly say is different from when Scalia died.
My uncle will be on the family soon tomorrow. I know he did not vote for Trump but I know he did not vote for HRC either. I do not think, though, that he would be hoping for Trump to replace RBG.
I should probably endeavor not to find out.
The sky is gorgeous. The moon is new. The month and the year begin.
I took this picture just after writing that and a few more and maybe I'll add them later
Shadeofnight commented last night that the moon is dark. His watch tells him the state of the Moon even in the rain. I told him I knew without looking because tomorrow would be Rosh Hashanah the new month the new year the first moon.
I think part of my tomorrow will be texting for the Biden campaign. Did I mention how to go about doing that?
