What is this I don't even (with friends like these...)

So yesterday driving from hither to thither I heard this article on NPR, about Carly Fiorina dropping by to join the festivities for someone's ultrasound at a crisis pregnancy center.

Apparently said crisis pregnancy center has been a popular campaign stop; she's maybe the 5th candidate to make an appearance there.

The woman getting the ultrasound said she doesn't follow politics; she did know Fiorina is a Republican candidate because she had just looked that up. She meets monthly with a volunteer from the center, who liked Fiorina's mischaracterization of Planned. Parenthood in the debates (or shall I say repetition of deliberately crafted lies?) and who had this to say:""I do think a man should be a leader," Earnhardt said. "That's me. But I see the men not standing up, and I see the woman coming stronger. And if she's gonna be the one that's gonna stand up ... and stick to her morals ... and not back down, then by far I will give her my vote.""
Then there was the woman quoted who had traveled to the clinic to see Fiorina, and for whom gender was noted to also be an issue:""As long as it's not someone who's trying to emasculate men and that it's not just a power trip for them," she said. Jackson said she likes the fact that Fiorina "doesn't have small children at home" and added that she'd have trouble supporting a woman who did."

I was rather boggling at the radio.

I have other things to write, but places to be, and the mobile apps make it so that really only your first paragraph counts anyway...
