Nytimes links to Memory Alpha in
an article about Leonard Nimoy's new photo-art project. Show's in North Adams, MA
While I'm linking, another DefCon article :
Seven dangerous new computer hacks and one silly one that will change the future. I kept being elsewhere during most of them, partly due to the aforementioned slightly-too-small function space. But I did see the pictured panties, though I didn't take
badmagic up on his dare to buy them.
Related to the SSL bit, I think I shall wear my new padlock "this means it's safe to give me your credit card information" shirt to work and then gaming tomorrow.
Annoyingly, I could easily have attended Wardriving the Power Grid . . . if the room hadn't been so cold that my cardigan and sarong (thanks,
starfyrone - it came in handy just about every day of the trip) were insufficient to be comfortable.
I do wish I'd been around for the
Defcon social engineering contest. And because of that, I've been intending to read more on
social-engineer.org Oh joy and rapture - more full body scanners are coming to airports, and
yes, they do have storable images of your essentially nude bod. In other news, I find myself really wanting to thrash the office staff of mom medfolk. And some but not all of mom medfolk. OTOH, my medfriensds are all marvy, and perspective is greatly appreciated.
Edit: oh, and Peaches O'Dell at Glen Echo on Saturday.
