God is Good

Well, we closed on our house yesterday and began purchasing supplies for home improvements to be done on the house before we move in.  At times, this process has been a little overwhelming and stressful, but for the most part, it flowed smoothly.  We closed one day later than expected - due to president's day, not any problems with the bank, loan agency, or realtor.  God has really guided our home purchasing process for us and there have been many unexpected blessings along the way.  We tried to get a loan that was as close to no money down as possible, and our loan consultant assured us several times that we shouldn't expect to write a check at closing.  Instead of writing another check yesterday, we recieved money back.  The check we got more than covered the cost of the kitchen flooring and paint we purchased last night and today.  Then, today our carpet guy came to measure the house and informed us that his store just started a promotion for free padding, so there was a considerable savings for us again.  Those are just two examples, but Becci and I are truly aware of God's presence and guidance in our life.  It doesn't seem real to call ourselves home owners.  I feel more like it's God's house and he's just letting us move in for a few years.  I know that's how it is.  Praise God for his faithfulness.  It has given me new insight to a familiar song.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
