Summary: Hotaru was to become a famous dancer. But due to an accident she was unable to preform and had to give up her dream. One day she meets Michiru in the park. They talk and Michiru convinces Hotaru to move in with her. A story of a girl losing her dream and overcoming it.

Chibiusa had been thinking about the article all day, the article telling of Hotaru’s “tragic accident”. She could not concentrate during class; it was taking over her mind. Finally she just decided to skip the rest of her classes and go home.

When Chibiusa got back to her tiny apartment she flopped herself down on the couch and turned on the television. She flipped through the channels passing by soap operas, and little kid shows. Then she paused; on the screen was a news coverage of Hotaru’s accident.

“The up and coming star, Hotaru Tomoe, has not returned to the stage. Her position has been filled by the backup dancer Elizabeth Hansfold. We have not been able to contact Miss Tomoe.”

Chibiusa turned off the television. For a moment she just sat there on the couch thinking about her friend from high school. The two had been so close, many even joked that they were sisters and they themselves would sometimes pretend that they were sisters. Of course that was all in middle school. By high school Chibiusa was no longer thinking of her as a sister but as something more.

They had promised to stay friends for the rest of their lives but then Hotaru made a quick change and took a chance. She left. Without a word she had walked away.

The next time Chibiusa saw her was on the news. There was a broadcast about a new future star in the world of ballet. It was Hotaru. Chibiusa was amazed by the way she managed to move her body. Hotaru was even more of a goddess in her eyes now. Of course the fact that Hotaru was now dancing on a stage was no real surprise to Chibiusa. Hotaru had always been into dancing.

She started at the age of four with the encouragement of her mother and continued it even after her mother had passed away. “I want to do it in memory of my mother,” Hotaru had once told Chibiusa. Her father had never tried to stop her, until she told him that she wanted to be a professional that is. He always wrote it off as nothing serious, just a way for Hotaru to grieve over her mother’s passing.

Chibiusa closed her eyes and leaned back on the couch. Her faced scrunched up as she tried to hold back her tears.

“Hotaru,” Chibiusa whispered. “Where are you?”

“Judging by how well she dances, I would say somewhere in Tokyo.”

“More specific, that school famous for its famous ballerinas.”

Chibiusa turned around to find her two fashion loving roommates, Naruru and Ruruna.

“You are crying!” Ruruna exclaimed as she rushed over to wipe away the smaller girl’s tears. “I don’t like seeing you so sad Chibiusa. You are always such a cheerful girl.”

“It’s nothing,” Chibiusa answered.

“It is not ‘”nothing”,” Ruruna whispered worriedly.

“I am fine you two.”

“No, you are not fine,” Naruru said. “You know what you need to do?” Both girls turned to look at the dark haired young woman. “You need to go after her.”

“Go after her?”

“Yes,” Naruru said. “You are worried about her right?” Chibiusa nodded her head. “Then go see her and help her. She needs a good friend no more then ever.”

“Naruru!” Ruruna exclaimed. “That is the best plan ever.” She went up to the other girl and gave her a big hug.

“Why, thank you Rrurna,” Naruru giggled returning the friendly hug. “What do you think Chibiusa?”

Chibiusa looked at the two girls. She tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment. She had not seen Hotaru in many years. How could she just show up and ask her old friend to tell her everything? Would Hotaru even want to see her again? Chibiusa, as much as she wanted to find Hotaru, was having doubts about the plan. Then she turned around and saw the magazine on the table. That was it; she had made up her mind. Chibiusa nodded. Naruru and Ruruna both gasped in anticipation. “Let’s do it.”
