I can never come up with witty ways to start my LJ entries.
LIFE HAS BEEN HAPPENING. SOME MORE!! As suspected in my previous entry the ASL place fell through, but I am so not bummed about that it's not even funny.
I do, however, have a hilarious time line from my current hopeful job venture.
Saturday: Submit Resume
Monday: Receive e-mail from supervisor, set up phone interview for Tuesday
Tuesday: Have phone interview, it goes smashingly, get asked to come in on Thursday
Today: Go in for in person interview. It is, in the words of one of my interviewers, "awesome"
So yeah, I'm expecting to hear back from this place on Monday as to whether or not they want me to come back in. I'm extremely hopeful on this, mostly because I've been getting such an amazing vibe off the company and the people I've talked to. It's a smallish tech company that handles online services for dentists and orthodontists, I'd be working M-F from 6-3 (yessss) and, I am hoping, no holiday work because what dentist has their office open on a holiday. Seriously.
I've also registered for the GRE on Saturday and have spent the majority of this week studying my ass off. I don't feel that I'm going to perform my best, but I'm still taking this damn test because if I don't take it I have no way of knowing how much I need to improve.
Also the prospect of booking a trip to New York from Wednesday-Sunday next week is exceptionally enticing. Here's hoping that the place I'm interviewing at asks me to come in on Tuesday and then, if I get a job offer, doesn't ask me to start work until Monday.
