UK: Group home for autistic adults shut down for alleged poor practices

Aug 18, 2011 13:31

A home for autistic adults in Kent has been closed after a surprise inspection.

Four Nevill Park, in Tunbridge Wells, was a home for 24 autistic people with "challenging behaviours" [quote BBC's]. Inspectors say the home had too few staff, insufficiently trained staff, poor support plans for residents, and overall poor documentation. They also say residents' complaints weren't being recorded.

Four Nevill Park's license has been taken away.
