...What is it?
[If there's anything he wants to know about Mu, ν-13 doesn't mind explaining what she knows. He just needs to specify what it is he wishes to know, and she'll try to clarify to the best of her knowledge.]

[That's... a lot at once. He'll have to give her a moment before she answers that.]
Designation of target: Dimensional boundary contact medium number 12... Anti-Sankishin core unit, Mu. [She has no idea how she was created, so she can't answer that, but perhaps knowing exactly what her predecessor is may help.]
Primary directive... unknown. [It's likely the same as her own back in their world - guardian the Sheol Gate from all who try to enter it - but she can't confirm that.]
Probability of primary directive not being possible in Luceti... above 84%. [If it's the one she suspects, then it's impossible here.]
Secondary directive... unknown. Possible secondary directive... destruction of any populated settlements at current location. [Again, it's only a possibility, but it's a likely one. ν-13 can't accomplish her own primary directive here, but she has a secondary one - one that she's altered once since, but it still pertains to the same individual. If he wasn't here in Luceti, she may have opted for the very directive she just

[There's about a minute of silence before she answers this time. The Sankishin are a bit of a tricky subject, but Adell's a person of authority in Luceti... and someone'd she'd been on good terms with during that experiment. But even so...

A directive can... be adjusted to altered circumstances. [In other words, it may be a directive Mu chose herself. Just like her own secondary directive isn't exactly one she was programmed to carry out.]

[...Well, that doesn't answer the "why." But he doesn't have a good feeling about it. And it does confirm his theory that Mu and Nu are meant to be... some kind of living weapon. Between Nu's sheer battle prowess and the amount of power Mu was flinging around, it's not a difficult assumption to make.]
...So you're saying that Anti-Sankishin units can have some semblance of autonomy beyond their primary objective?
But it is also possible that Mu's secondary objective was hard-wired into her, assuming it is what you suggested?
[Voice//Private]awakenedchaosJuly 1 2011, 20:33:05 UTC
Affirmative. [That's to both questions. She herself is less inclined to believe that possibility - it seems strange to intentionally give someone that kind of directive. Illogical, even, depending on who would have done that; for example, if it were the Malnosso's doing, wouldn't it make more sense to have her directive be focusing that destructive behavior on the Third Party, rather than a settlement where a good portion of their more talented combatants reside...?]

Target displayed hostile behavior and... attempted termination. [...If only Mu had listened to her advice back then, now that she's thinking about it. Her self-destructing would hopefully have prevented something like what occurred almost two weeks ago from happening.]

Target questioned Nu's survival. [...Which is odd, but at the time, she was much more focused on the fact that one of her predecessors still existed. But that's the first thing that happened when the two met, so...]

...I need you to tell me about Mu. How she came about, what her purpose was, anything. Why she would've gone berserk like that.

Considering all she wanted to do was kill when I fought her, I'd say that "possible secondary directive" is likely.
...What's a "Sankishin", and why would there be something needed to counter them?
...And who the hell would program that kind of directive, anyway? It's insane.

[He sighs.]
All right then, how much do you know about Mu herself? Did you ever run into her like that before this?

[He's not sure who threw the first punch in this case. Or more importantly, why?]
