042: Christmas [Action]

[It's that time of year again.  You know the one.  Christmas.  On Christmas Eve, Adell will have gone around to a lot of homes or other places with gifts he got for people.  They're all wrapped, actually rather well this year.  But he'll make sure to instruct people not to open their gifts until the morning of the 25th.  For people that live

[Rydia knocks on his door, wearing that new winter cloak and feeling somewhat sheepish. She hasn't had time to do shopping for anyone, what with having been dead and all.]

[Kain follows after Rydia, still unwilling to be away from her, at least for the short-term future until his mind straightens out. He supposes he ought to thank Adell as well, since he'd not expected anything...]

[He'll answer the door, obviously in a good mood.]

Rydia! Kain! Good to see you both!

[Rydia smiles.]

It's good to see you, too. I hope we're not interrupting anything...?

[Kain tries his best to look... a little less serious than usual, doing what he can to lighten his mood. He nods in greeting.]

[Adell shakes his head.]

Not at all. Come on in.

[Rydia, no lover of the cold despite the nice cloak, eagerly does just that.]

Thank you, Adell. And thank you for the gifts. I only wish I'd had time to return the favor.

[Being dead is a wonderful excuse, but Rydia doesn't take much comfort in it.]

[Kain has the dual excuses of having been dead and always being... Kain. He isn't one for these other world holidays but he'll humor it for those who do bother. Holds up a card.]

[Kain nods agreement, of course he doesn't want to impose but it's been cold out there.]

Let me go see. If we don't, I'm sure we can arrange something. In the meantime, Mom's made a ton of baked stuff, so if you guys are hungry, have at it.
