[Now that he's mostly better from the fight with Hazama, and that things have finally died down a little... even if things aren't quite back the way that he wants them, an idea struck Adell. Granted, it came about more during that period of bright inspiration a couple of days ago, but it was one of several. Adell picks up his journal.]
Hey. I've been thinking. A lot of us... I think we could really use a day off. How about... how about a bunch of us, as many as we can, all head down to the lake for a nice day trip? Get a bunch of friends together, go swimming, maybe have a cookout, possibly camp out there if we want. Just a big old trip, for fun, just to get away for a bit? How's Friday sound?
Who's in? Spread the word if you are!
[OoC: Yup, this is the post to get the word out about
this player event. You don't have to respond to show up to it later. But this is his announcement about the idea.]
[Action]
[Adell can be found at his usual haunts for most of the day: the barracks and Seventh Heaven, mostly. Partway through the day, he'll make a quick stop by his house and the store... and make his way over to Rebecca's apartment. He told her he'd make her a milkshake at some point, and today seemed as good a day as any. He made his way over and knocked on the door... but it turned out... the door was unlocked and slightly ajar.]
Rebecca?
[...He emerges into the room... and it's bare. Empty. Everything's gone. The bag of ingredients he had for the milkshakes just.... slides out of his hands as he steps inside. A numb feeling spreads through him as the realization hits. For the moment, there's no reaction, but he walks deeper in, almost in a trance. When he comes to Rebecca's bedroom door, however, one thing catches his eye. At the foot of the bed, propped up against it, is the black Master Bow he had gotten for her for Christmas. On the bed, at the foot of it, is her normal headband; it had been absent the last time he saw her.
...Honestly, it was seeing those two things that did it. He was alone in here, and one of his best friends had been sent home. In... in a way, he was happy that she could be back with her family. But it stung. A lot. And there wasn't a lot he could do to fight back the tears. This time... he just didn't resist them.
...Eventually, he'll be making his way back home. The bow in hand, and the headband with it.]
