...but the next 48 hours will certainly be hectic. We should have enough help at the booth now (with one final potential volunteer ironing out logistics), so that's set. Today, I have to get everything that isn't product-related done, because tomorrow... ALL of my restock is scheduled to arrive. LOL, I don't really know how that worked out, but that's just the way it is. As hellish as it's going to be to check in, sort out and pack up... it should be kinda fun. [/end punishment gluttony]
Anime Central is going to rock! Lots of peeps (several of which I'm importing to help ;-), massive crowds, Greg Ayres spinning, and again MASSIVE crowds. CHICAGO! And for once I think I'll be able to scope out
Otaku -no- Yen: Live Action... Time to start gearing up my creativity! I wonder how many Saiyuki jokes I can cram into an unfinished OnY.....
Rambling about TV serial dramas
Isn't it interesting that Prison Break is now more exciting than 24?
Is Jack Bauer's current persuit 24's shark jump?
It also makes me wonder if Lost will be as thrilling as Prison Break once they pull the trigger on the conflict with The Others. Lost has been building toward this for about a season and a half now, so it better prove worthwhile. (Especially with such a SLOW-ASS first season of character-building, shrugging off of the MONSTROUS polar bears - has anyone else noticed they haven't dealt with them since the first couple episodes???, and the inane number of recap episodes this season.) ABC needs to take a clue from FOX and the wild success of 24. Run a new episode every week in a non-stop season. They already recap in the first few minutes, so do the viewers a favor and assume they are intelligent enough to follow a story. (Besides, how retarded is it to get a recap episode on a DVD set? I'm watching Excel Saga right now and they've done it twice so far in episodes 13 and 20!) 24 still catches people up during the early moments of each episode wtih oddly-worded dialogue (that wouldn't be spoken in real life, but it serves a purpose so I shrug it off). Even as a show that seems like it wasn't prepared to continue beyond January, Prison Break is now kicking it into high gear as the crew pulls the frantic trigger on their fight. I finally can't wait to see what happens next. Screw the whole Lincoln Burrows death-row story. Give me more Alcatraz-like planning and running!
