So I am actually feeling quite excited to be doing work -- counterpoint assignments, chromatic harmony assignments, practicing, composing, and even reading a book for piano pedagogy on pedalling. Ironically, I've been so amazed at myself for feeling this way that I haven't actually gotten around to DOING anything yet.
I will. I swear.
(I sat in the lobby for a really long time today, playing card games and attacking a first year rep. Then I went to see Stranger Than Fiction at Western Film, which is a great movie. The concept is kind of wonky, but it absolutely works. I think I have some respect for Will Farrell now, and ever-growing admiration for Emma Thompson. My favourite character in the movie was, however, the wristwatch.)
Also, Borat next week at Western Film. (probably Tuesday; plans may change.)
As well, if anybody wants to go play board games in the lobby on Saturday afternoon (2-ish)...let me know. People are going skating for Frost Week (1:30-ish) and coming back after for games, but I kind of just want to sit around and play board games after my jury (and hopefully it will be a well-deserved break after a long half-week of work.).
