R has had a killer toothache for days now, and has an appointment with the oral surgeon for tomorrow - I hope the guy can pull it then and there. Our dentist gave him Vicodin and he's eating them like he's Dr House.
Ar had an "incident" at her friend's house at dinner - apparently she tried to swallow too large a piece of steak, and it lodged in her trachea and she blacked out. Two of the adults performed the Heimlich on her (thank you!!!) and the meat managed to find its way down instead of out. But she's all freaked out and is afraid to eat anything. She's OK. Her throat is sore, and she banged up her elbow falling down, but she's OK.
I'm remarkably calm about the entire thing. Maybe because it happened somewhere else? Or maybe I think that somebody needs to stay calm - if we all got freaked about it, I don't think it would help anything.
I want her to take a Red Cross First Aid class. Having that knowledge is very empowering. And I could probably use a refresher course, as well.
Mercury goes retrograde on Friday. I think we're starting to see the effects already. People have been driving terribly around me (yesterday I watche 3 assholes run a red light, one right after each other.) and communications seem to be breaking down here and there.
