My new toy...
So I ordered a new laptop...it's real purdy and copied my 50GB iTunes library in about 35 minutes...did I mention it's a monster...I skimped on graphics (since I don't really game and the standard graphics card is plenty good for watchin DVDs)...It has an HD screen and sound card...320GB HD, 4GB RAM, and 2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo...also on its way...1TB External...now you may be asking yourself why the hell I need a 1TB of storage...well, with this addition to my computing family, I can now begin converting and remastering my vinyl collection in earnest (10 or so crates of Classic Rock and Jazz...yeah that's about 1,000 pieces)...that's why I need 1TB...I also just about creamed my pants to find out it has MS SQL Server Client...which I can use to teach myself SQL on the MS Access databases I am going to create to catalog my CD collection and the vinyl collection...including the 10 or so additional crates of dance music...This is gonna rock....I'm a big dork...oh, and it's got MS Publisher, so I can really start kickin ass on my new chapbook...I LOVE GETTING NEW TOYS!!!!
