It had been, well, a long time since Sven had heard someone play the piano. Hell, it had been a long time she'd he'd had a moment of peace long enough to assume he could even listen to the piano if he wanted to. He'd lingered outside the hotel for some time, just listening. The hotel wasn't somewhere you'd ever find Sven. While money wasn't an issue here, he was still too concerned with getting meals each day to splurge on lodging. The music, however, had drawn him inside. It was a slow process. The lobby near the door, the lobby near the hall, down the hall, outside the ballroom... It may be slow, but it was progress, and now he could hear the music much better. Sven closed his eyes and let his thoughts drift as he leaned against the wall just outside the ballroom door.
Kyouya had come down from his room looking for Tamaki, when he heard the piano. He paused for a minute outside of the door listening to the palying, still moves everytime that he heard the other play. In a way it was something that reminded him of Ouran, of home, which was welcomed in this rather strange place. Walking in Kyouya had his usual notebook in had, "There you are Tamaki."
Then he noticed someone else who had seemed to be enjoying the performance, "Ahh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to interupt." The man was soemone that he hadn't seen before on the island or any of the events that had taken place. "I'm Ootori Kyouya."
Tamaki glanced up from the piano when he heard Kyouya call to him. He smiled at first and then a curious look crept across his face. Was someone else there? His fingers made a halt as he watched Kyouya head out again to greet someone. "Is it a new customer, Kyouya?"
The king stood up and walked over to join his friend by the door. "Oh, what do we have here~?" He asked with a L formed hand under his chin as he tilted his head to the side outside the doors. Was it a cute lady secretly admiring his Godly performance~!? When he noticed it was a man, an older man at that, he's never seen before, Tamaki gave a surprised look before warmly smiling. "Welcome to the Vortexx Host Club. I'm Suou Tamaki, the King of this establishment. Please to meet you."
[ooc: Oh no! Not at all~<3 I feel honored! I enjoy playing with you~<33 Thank you so much for joining in! And yaaay Kyouya~<33]
Sven was startled out of his thoughts (much to his own disappointment) when Kyouya came to introduce himself. "It's fine," Sven replied with a small tip of his head. Of course he would have enjoyed hearing more, but he wasn't about to complain. "It's a pleasure," he stated, hand held out for Kyouya. "I'm Sven Vollfied."
When Tamaki joined in Sven was again hit a mental road block. Customer? The expression on the guys face and then the change when he saw Sven? Host club? King? Sven looked like he'd just blown a fuse. All he could do was gape at Tamaki. What the heck was this guy talking about? And why was it that everyone here seemed wrong in the head? Unless he himself was wrong in the head, but he'd x'ed that idea out earlier hadn't he?
((I did first name first because it just sounds funny to put Sven's last name first... haha))
Kyouya glanced over as Tamaki stopped an join the other two. Sven Vollfied, as he thought it wasn't a name that he had heard before. As for the confusion it was obvious that the gentleman was likely lost and was simply following the sound of the piano. Closing his notebook and adjusting his glasses as he spoke to avoid any further confusion, "The host club is an organization that we started to entertain the residents of this city. Though it seems that you're confused so you're obviously not here as a client. Is there something that we can help you with?"
"Nonsense~ Kyouya! His initial expression isn't any different than our past clients!" Tamaki confidently claimed. "Sven-san, please do not allow your natural curiosity to die." He spun once towards the man as he began his dramatic ramble, wrapping his arm about himself. "Ah~ It's not your fault that you were lured by the beauty held within these walls. Please come in and stay for a while~! Now now~" Tamaki slipped behind him and began to guide him inside the room.
[ooc: lol That's fine~ especially since he's not really Japanese. ->W<- I only do that cuz Tamaki is used to saying his last name first.]
"I don't really need anything," Sven began. "I was just drawn to- Hey hey!" He'd been cut off by Tamaki's dramatics. Before Sven knew what was going on, Tamaki was pushing him into the room. This guy was worse than Train. Train's eccentricity and free-spirited behavior was bad enough. How was it even possible? Sven didn't really want to know. At all. When he finally got his head wrapped around what was happening, he immediately dug in his heels. "What do you think you're doing?" Just a tiny bit of irritation crept into his voice.
Kyouya watched as Tamaki got carried off yet again. Knowing that there wasn't worth the headache to fight it, he simply let the blond continue on while he resumed looking over his notes from the previous event. In a way he wondered what trouble Tamaki would cause this time.
"Why~ inviting you in of course." The king raised an arm to gesture as imaginary roses bloomed and sparkles shimmered around him. He warmly smiled at the man as he made a request to his friend. "Kyouya, would you please bring out some tea and cake for our guest?" Tamaki wandered back towards the piano and sat down as he began to play again. "Please relax and enjoy, Sven-san." It's been a while since they've had any clients and catching on the man's tension, the king didn't want to make him feel uncomfortable by no means well... so he'd try.
"Inviting me..." Again, that look of intense disbelief crossed Sven's face. "I think you have the wrong idea about me. And I have no idea how you got it either." This was a host club... these two were hosts... that would make him a customer if he came it... which would make him interested in guys. No, Sven definitely didn't like where that line of thought had taken him. However, the mention of tea and cake distracted him.
"Tea? You have tea?" Sure, Sven preferred coffee, but tea was good too. He'd take it, especially since it was free. Free cake was another bonus. The final plus was the fact that his life hadn't been put in danger yet, though perhaps his pride had.
"We have several varieties of teas, ranging from tradition green to more herbal exotic ones. Though we also have numerous varieties of coffee as well though it would take a little longer to prepare." Kyouya took a quick glance at their inventory list of the coffees that had been left over from the last major event, as well as what he restocked recently after the disappearance of the bugs. "Do you have a preference, Vollfied-san?"
Tamaki waited until Sven was done answering Kyouya's question when he asked another himself. His fingers danced across the key as he kept a gentle smile across his lips. "Oh~? And what ideas may that be?"
They had numerous male clients in the past, though they were usually unexpected. The king glanced up once in a while to look at Sven's expressions. If the man had a concern, helping him out was the right thing to do.
"Just Sven," he told Kyouya. "I haven't been called by my last name since I was a cop." That being said, his time as an IBI inspector wasn't something he wanted to remember considering how it had ended. Of course, Sven lived with a reminder of that every day. "I prefer coffee, but tea's good too. I haven't had a good cup of tea in a long time."
Once he was done answered Kyouya, he turned his attention to Tamaki. His face darkened a bit when he realized that Tamaki was going to make him come out and say it. "I'm not into men," he stated flatly. Just because he didn't have a girlfriend didn't mean he wouldn't take one.
Kyouya smirked, though it might have looked more like a polite smile, so he was a retired officer. Maybe there had ben some form of law enforcement previously, however judging from the others reaction Kyouya figured he was here for the same reason the rest of them were. Going off to fix the tea he left the other two waiting in the ballroom knowing that Tamaki was likely going to start rambling again.
Tamaki smashed the keys a little harder than he anticipated as part of his bangs covered his face appearing as if he'd plunged himself into the depths of darkness. But the next moment, he stood up with the most refreshed look to his face, almost tears seen in his eyes. The king was touched! This man had taken the courage to step into this room despite knowing his comfort zone. The poor man was curious of this forbidden Eden though of course he wasn't to be blamed for it! It was his duty, his mission to help the man understand
( ... )
Twitch, twitch. Eden? Explore all he wished? Sven really couldn't take this anymore. Why, exactly, had he come here? Oh right, the piano. He'd make a note to stay away from pianos from now on. Hadn't he just told Tamaki that he wasn't interested in guys? So much for peace and quiet.
When Tamaki started listed types Sven went past his limit. He nearly dove from the couch and stumbled backwards, away from Tamaki. Within a moment he had pulled a small pistol out of his suit coat. "Don't you dare come any closer," he warned. There was no chance whatsoever that Sven would shoot Tamaki, or shoot at all, but the guy didn't know that. Threats tended to work pretty well.
