What: Waking up in a place they don't recognize.
When: Now.
Where: An old and abandoned church.
Rating: PG-13? (no idea yet, it depends on who will join and how events turn out)
Slowly, ever so slowly, Near opened his eyes. Something was definitely wrong. the silence, the temperature.... The situation became even stranger as soon as he managed to fully open his eyes, which went wide when he didn't recognize the old church which floor he woke up upon.
Sitting up, his brain quickly recalled the past events at headquarters; he might have fallen asleep while playing with his toys, listening to the endless buzz from Lester's computers. What had happened next, he had no idea. Had he been kidnapped? Had this been arranged by Kira or his followers? He wasn't tied up, and from his position he could see that the church's door was open... If he had been kidnapped, this was surely a very odd way to do so. Perhaps there was someone waiting for him outside...
He managed to stand up despite how weak his knees felt. He wasn't used to being alone, even less in an unknown place he suddenly woken up in without any apparent reason. He felt... scared, really scared, though he never lost his composure; there was no point in losing it, as it would only make things worse, and he was well prepared to remain calm no matter the situation.
Standing still, his eyes scanned the place, looking for something... or someone.
