life lessons from jon stewart...
on jon stewart tonight, one of his "reporters" went "out in to the field" to verify the fact that job hunting is in itself a full time job. the guy went around brushing up his resume and practicing interviews with "experts in the field", so my dad pipes up from the living room (while i'm in the kitchen, doing dishes) "are you listening to this? it might be useful..."
and i say, "Uh... i don't think so. that's a good conversation starter at the interview; 'I did all my prep work for this interview with jon stewart! taught me all i need to know!' Prolly won't go over quite as it should if i actually want a job..."
::snicker:: twas amusing.
and on a totally different yet related note... i'm not ready for my interview!! gah!!! i've got to print out all my maps still, and pack, AND check the weather report still. ::pouts:: i'd wanted to have it allllllll done by now so i could sleep by ten. but i bought my sister lunch at BK and it, like, gave me food poisoning or something so the afternoon was shot. never eating out at hamburger joints again, they keep making me sick. YEA!! step in the right direction if i can stick to that one. (ha) but still. evilness. now i'll get all wound up tonight trying to find this stuff and panicky and won't sleep when i wanna. i have to leave by 8am!! gah. ::sigh::
not sure if dad's coming yet. that'd be fun, but he don't like the fact that it'd mean he'd miss two days of work. ::sigh:: ahwell. he's got a few hours to make up his mind, don't he? =c)
