TV: people who know... halp!
okay. i'm so totally confused now. I thought Torchwood was getting burned for disappointing viewer numbers, that that was their reasons for a 5-part mini-series instead of a full season.
but i just read an article that claimed it was getting record-setting numbers, for BBCA at least, and the real reason for the miniseries was so they could have a spectacular week of torchwood dominating the prime-time ("watershed") slot one night after another. (and bad me, i didn't grab the article link, so no, i won't share. =cP google 'torchwood season 3' and you'll find it yourself.)
so it basically seemed like, instead of a full season, they're trying for an advertising blitz.
so which is the case? will there be a series 4 or is this really the finale series?
(yeahyeah, i know, never can tell with brits, that's why they're called 'series' instead of 'seasons'. i'm after *aside from that* tyvm.)
and also, when does it flippin' air?
commercials i think say july but my brain is a sieve and math-retarded/dyslexic so anything relating remotely to numbers gets dismissed. and heck if i know if that means it airs in the UK and then BBCA has to wait a few months...
