So, while partying at the snootiest hotel in town, which we later got kicked out of (possibly because the Emperor of Japan was staying there that night... thus explaining all the Japs with walkie-talkies crawling all over the place. And by the way, why the hell are the Japs of all people using such inferior technology as friggin walkie-talkies to communicate security information for their highest royalty?!), I was made by a visiting friend to listen to Depeche Mode. I never really cared for Depeche Mode before, but this time it was as though someone flicked on the "HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME" switch in my head. Now I am mildly obsessed.
