I would like to say that I agree with whatever the Otherguy 30 hasn't posted but is probably typing up for his livejournal right now. The Military has way neutered itself through over-concern for political correctness

It's a little long (so to speak) and will probably get me in some trouble. That part of my brain that tells you to hide your emotions and not do stupid things is broken. Instead I speak my mind (often with dire consequences) and I do stupid things. That being said I just don't care if I get in trouble this time, when I do something wrong I feel guilt, I feel none (this time.)
It's glorious. So glorious I even edited the link to your page in my post to reflect your link. So glorious I think tomorrow I'll copy your post into an email and forward it to........
Soo...the sign of the neutered military is that they put the word 'fun' in front of 'run'? They did that in high school, ya know. And in middle school. I wonder if it's not so much a gender thing as it is an age thing--do you feel like you're being treated like a woman, or like a child? (This will kick off an entire lecture on stages of American masculinity through the last 400 years, so I'll stop myself right here and save it for finals week. YOU HAVE BEEN SPARED!!)
I'm afraid you are not allowed to get spared - you haven't earned that privilage yet (you can't see it, but I'm proudly displaying my "Skiomachy reward and privalages card" right now, it has 5 punches!).
And to answer the Skiomachy - nope, the "fun run" and the neutering of the military are actually separate issues. I just conjoined them illogically because it's a bad habit I have that I find strangely amusing. :)
