just to set the record straight...

I would like to say that I agree with whatever the Otherguy 30 hasn't posted but is probably typing up for his livejournal right now. The Military has way neutered itself through over-concern for political correctness.

There is definitely a need for concern over many matters - but there is a point where it just becomes stupid.

With that said I would like to mention that I ran a 5k "Fun Run" yesterday morning. All it did was convince me of what I have strongly suspected all along: Putting the word "fun" in front of a word like "run" is not only an oxymoron, but an outright lie. The cancer star gave me a headache. But I did manage to finish up in a little under 33 minutes (or was a it a little over.... definitely near 33 minutes though... (rats!)).

Oddly enough I managed to survive with little more than 3 degree sunburns over my entire body (the clothes caught fire and burned off long before the end) and only mild combustion issues. I should seek the help of a professional dermatologist now that the sun blindness has stopped. I am definitely not quite meant for daylight anymore.

Okay... maybe it wasn't that bad, but the headache did kinda suck. Not in the good way either. In conclusion, the military is becoming similar to direct sunlight...annoying, and it burns the people that work hard in it. I don't know what that means. Peace out, I'm playin' my guitar!

military, political correctness, sunlight, running
