Game trouble... again
So I'm having a bit of a problem. I don't know when it started, but I think I've located the problem. I just have no idea how to solve it.
Since a week or so, my families in my custom hoods that are on custom terrain maps refuse to fully load. The game screen freezes on the loading screen while the actual game just goes on. This only happens when sims live on the lot. I have no trouble entering a lot to build on.
This screenshot explains it better than I do. Everything's fine, except that the loading screen is stuck for some reason. I did the usual procedure of the Simswiki Game Problems, let it regenerate new folders etcetera. I tested one of the newly generated original hoods and they were doing just fine. I made a new, custom hood on one of the EA Game terrain maps and they worked just fine.
However, when I put back my custom terrain maps, made a hood with one of those and tried to get a family to load, I got stuck with the very same problem. I redownloaded the files, but that was of no help either. It's not a problem with my CC, as I left out the Downloads and SavedSims folder as well when testing.
The .sc4 files do show up as RollerCoaster Tycoon files, but they've been doing that for months since I installed that game, so I doubt that has anything to do with it. I wonder if it has to do something with the settings in the C:/ directory, but I don't want to experiment there with the chance to mess it up badly.
