Was There Really No Interresting News?
So I get to work in the morning at 5:30am everyday. One of my duties in the morning is to go pick up the newspapers out in front of the building. Since I'm the only person here for 3 hours I usually read them.
Today on the front page of the citizen is big ass article about how Matthew McConaughey might be Alanis Morrisette's new rebound guy. Wait a sec... FRONT PAGE ?!?!? The citizen is a respectable newspaper and this is the news that makes the front page? Usually this is the big hot stuff you find in the celebrity gossip section of your newspaper.
This leaves me to belive either 1 of 2 things. That absolutely nothing interresting was worth putting up on the front page which I find very difficult to believe since The National Post has a big article about how Conrad Black's fate is decided today, or that this is the type of world events that people care about when there are clearly more important issues.
Maybe I'm crazy and I'm missing the bigger picture but I find this very annoying. I think there is something wrong with the news industry...
