Catching Up
This is gonna be a big one with a lot of info.
Poker
So I've been playing some online poker lately. In the past I have been pretty adamant about hating online poker. Usually what happens is that I join a table of players with a buy-in of 250 and in the first hand people start going all-in. It's very frustrating for the people who are sitting down to play a real game of poker. So after a long time of dealing with these idiots I manage to win two 90 man tournaments and getting countless final table placings. This brought my account balance to about 10 000.
Now that I have some breathing space on my money I have begun playing in the 6 man 2000 buy-in tables. Wow, its like a breath of fresh air. I've only played at one table so far but the poker is so much better. It feels like I'm playing with my regular group again. At 6 players I ended in 2nd after 1 1/2 hours of solid poker. It added 4200 to my account. The winner got 7200.
This weekend I will be playing with my regular group again. Unfortunately Rusty will not attending. Apparently birthday parties are better than poker. I suspect the influence of Mrs. Rusty is involved. Rusty is one of the two players I have difficulties getting a good read on at Fandom so it simply increases my odds of winning. In our local standings I am currently in 3rd place trailing behind Eric and Randy. The bad part is that Randy has just enough of a lead on us that if either Eric or myself come in first we still wont dethrone Randy just yet. The very least we can do is apply some pressure.

World of Warcraft
So my progress in World of Warcraft is coming along nicely. Lets see, what has happened since I last posted.
- I hit level 70 with my warrior.
- I now have a flying mount. Its a black griffin.
- I am Reverred in reputation with Cenarion Expedition.
- I am almost Reverred in reputation with Honor Hold.
Those are the bigger updates involving my character. Lately I have been working hard on replacing my green items with blues and getting my Karazhan Key so I can raid with my guild. Currently all I have left for my Karazhan key is the Key Fragment in Arcatraz and to finish the Black Morass.
Although there is'nt a lot of room in the raids for a protection warrior since our raid leader is the guild's main tank there is a big demand for me in instances. That demand for me is large enough that if I get told I cannot come to the raid because its full or a protection warrior is not necessary all I gotta do is sit outside Karazhan and if a tank item drops they will let me come in to loot it. Since our main tank has almost everything he needs up to Prince that means a lot of easy loot for me. I want my Vambraces of Courage so badly. If I can finish my Karazhan Key today before supper I'll be able to sign up for my first raid tonight.

This weekend and week has been... I'm gonna use the word interesting... Lets take it one day at a time.
Saturday
I played some World of Warcraft during the day and made plans with Dan to do something. The ideal plans were to get together with Phil so that I could make a Rokugan character for the upcoming D10 Legend of the Five Rings campaign that is going to soon be run. So Dan, Meg, and I went into town because Meg wanted to buy the core book for the Rokugan D10 game. Apparently Fandom was sold out. We then proceeded to the Comic Book Shoppe and they too no longer had any copies for sale. We decided that we are hungry and wanted to do Chinese Food. We picked up Pam and had some delicious food smothered in MSG. MMMmmmm. On our way back to drop Pam off we called Phil to see if he was ready to get together yet. He told us that he would rather play FFXI than come out. Now I know I play a lot of World of Warcraft but I cant ever remember blowing off my friends to play it. Dan told me that since this was about the 3rd/4th time Phil had blown off the opportunity to make a character that Phil and I would have to do it on our own time. This means that I wont be making a character. I hope the gang has fun playing D10 Rokugan.
Sunday
So apparently Pam's mom got a new job here in Ottawa since he planned to move out here. No matter where Pam and I go, her mom always did her best to slowly creep her way closer to us. Pam hates it and I hate it. Her new job is cleaning hotel rooms at the Days Inn just a few blocks from our house. Since she didnt have her new place in Ottawa yet we agreed that she could stay with us for a week or so until she found an apartment to facilitate going to her new job. This may have been a mistake on our part...
Monday
It's one thing having her at our place all the time when she is not working but this allowed for what Pam and I only used to joke about happening to actually happen. Pams mom has rented an apartment in the building next door to us... It gets worse. Now she is unable to move into her new place until the end of the month so she has invited herself to live with us until the 1st of July. My life has become a long episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. Since we got the news yesterday, needless to say, we were not impressed for the remainder of the day. And to top off the day Pam informed me late last night that her mom borrowed $360 from us. I'm pretty tired of this woman always borrowing huge amounts of cash from us. Pam needs to learn to start saying "No". Hell, she has no problem saying it to me...
