OC: The Return
It's been a weird week so far. I had just gotten settled into my new house and now I'm spending a week across the Orange Curtain. I miss my house. I miss my community. It feels wrong to be driving around my old stomping grounds but staying in a hotel. I worked out of this office where we're training for two months and now it seems like I was just away from it on vacation for a few weeks and I'm back "home" in OC. I could feel the familiar ennui settling in on me as I was walking back to my hotel room from dinner last night. I lived here too recently for this to be just a visit. It's like the area is sucking me back in and won't let me go.
I'm enjoying the training. I love my team and my co-workers. My manager rocks. I'm excited about meeting my former co-workers for dinner tomorrow. But I wish they had held the class out of the LA office. I'm looking forward to heading back South on Friday.
