EVENT 1 (Dream Event)

Cain watches Ruka wander around the courtyard for a moment, before standing up and walking to her.

"...Ruka, are you alright?"

*Ruka stops walking and looks up at Cain. Her eyes seemed rather glazed over at first, she seems to be still half asleep. Eventually she responds to Cain by shaking her head for a "no."*

...they're all gone.

...the spirits. Their world. All gone.

*Ruka falls to her knees, as if losing the will to let them support her. Her eyes seem to have more life in them now as she gradually wakes up more*

I couldn't do anything, I couldn't do anything, I couldn't---

*As she repeats those words, tears start streaming down her face. Eventually, she just simply covers her face with her hands and breaks down into full sobs*

Some footsteps from a guy come closer, as they look down at you, Ruka.

They're... Kinda frowning. Admittedly, I think only someone completely heartless could not be bothered by a young girl crying out like that.*

*Ruka hears the footsteps. She seems scared at first, but eventually manages to look up to see who is approaching. She rubs her eyes to clear the tears from it, trying to get a clearer look*

I---I don't know... everything was okay, but then there was this shadow that came towards us. It destroyed everything... it destroyed the spirits who live here...
*She sobs a little*
... nothing could stop it... I couldn't stop it. Now they're all gone.

"Wh...what the heck happened here...!?"

Rua looks over the desolate void that used to be the Spirit World; although he may not know what it used to be, he can at least tell that something seriously horrible and unnatural happened to it. He seems captivated by it for a good moment or two before he notices...

"Ruka!" He runs to her, his worry immediately evident in his voice. "Ruka! Ruka, what's going on!?"

*Ruka quickly looks up when she hears Rua's voice calling out to her. Once he reaches her, tears just stream down her face as she clings onto him*

Rua lets out an 'oof' when Ruka grabs him. He looks around in horror.

"C-couldn't help them...? Who!? Ruka, what happened?!"

The spirits! There was this dark shadow, it destroyed everything! It happened so fast...

In the early morning, Isabel is out in the courtyard with Enzo. The two seem to be practicing something when Isabel notices Ruka coming out. She initially looks glad to see Ruka, but her expressions changes upon noticing that something seems off.

"Hey, kid. Somethin' the matter?"

*Ruka's eyes, at first, seem to be almost be staring off into nothing. It's almost as if she's sleepwalking or something. She doesn't seem to notice Isabel there at first, as she collapses to her hands and knees, breathing heavily, with a look of despair on her face.*

They're all gone... all gone... all gone!

*Her breathing seems to worsen as she speaks, as she gets more and more worked up*

Isabel darts over to Ruka and leans down next to her, placing a hand on her back. "What happened? What's wrong?"
