College Bowl: a little slice of acadeca right here at Swarthmore. The questions were (sort of) harder, and the people's knowledge was more specific, but it was like coming home. They even had The Judge! The same jokes, the same "defer to (the kid who always knows)", the same too-lengthy explanations of thought processes. A little scary now that I think of it, but I think I'll definitely go back if I have time. I even got a "Nice" chorus for answering Ferlinghetti.
And now, back in my room with my sheepskin slippers on. My working thesis (it's on the Tempest): "Antonio’s guilt-free encouragement of Sebastian’s fratricide (and easy acceptance of his own) and Sebastian’s willing acquiescence are indicative of a drive for power which is inherent and essential in the European white male society that they represent."
It has begun.
