Mysteries of the Universe

May 30, 2012 19:06

It's been a while since I've wrote an entry that has nothing to do with my time in China, but I feel motivated to write what has been deep within my thoughts for some time.

One of the greatest reasons I think from where my passion arises from is from the mysteries and the undiscovered. This can apply to what has been discovered but what I'm discovering for the first time. I feel this when I read the philosophers, fiction, history, and really all forms of study and experience of living.

It comes with finally finding some sort of balance in a new city or making a new friend. It's within the dialogues and experiences of a community and group of people, or even in reflecting on life lived so far.

Each moment reminds me of how far I've come and how connected I am to everyone around me. My relationships matter, just as knowledge and virtue matter. Each day I try to remind myself to eat, drink and breathe this. It keeps me grounded even as it takes me to the farthest reachest of the universe or far back into the past.

I'm grateful for all of you who are a part of it and how you've helped shape me. This goes to those past conflicts and no doubt future conflicts, and all the learning experiences. So once more, thank you.
