New Rules

Dec 16, 2009 19:39

Okay, everyone- since trying to be easy-going and come-what-may hasn't been working lately, I'm going to have to switch things up and start enforcing some rules here.

First, if you don't like the pairing or the summary of a fic, just don't read it.

Second- Flames, which are mean-spirited comments that offer no constructive criticism and are only intended to insult and hurt the author, won't be tolerated and you'll get a warning from me in a private message. To deter from anonymous flames, I'll be turning on the IP logging for anony comments.

Third: Know your flames. Constructive criticism or suggestions that are meant to help your writing aren't them. And in challenge communities in particular, constructive criticism can be quite helpful.

Fourth- Think before you comment, whether in response to a story or in response to another comment. If your comment is going to start an argument, or further it, then don't leave it. I'll deal with everything when I get the chance.

Fifth: Starting immediately, I'm now limiting the number of entries one author can make per challenge round to two. (This does not include WIPs, some of which might have 3, 4 or more chapters.) If a particular round's challenges inspire you and you find yourself especially prolific, limit yourself to working on two entries. I'm sure there will be a chance for your other ideas to work with future challenges, even if it's only the word table one, in another round.

If you have any questions or concerns, let me know in this thread and we'll try to work it out.
