Q: So, Vlindinhauer, what can you tell us?
A: Well, this Friday I get a chair of my own at Liquid.
Q: That's big news!
A: Sure is. The first couple of weeks there I was assisting mostly. I've had some "floor time" and those hours over the past two weeks have been steadily filling, but this station of my own thing, will be a real triumph.
Q: Like opening the floodgates?
A: We can only hope!
Q: What's today looking like?
A: Well, after wrapping things up here I'll be heading on in. This new paradigm has me stopping at Starbucks across the street from Liquid most mornings. Since it's a bit more of a commute, with more variables, I like to give myself plenty of time. This usually means time for catching up with my written journals and diaries. A practice that had been a little forsaken. It's good to have that back.
The past couple of Wednesdays I've been asked to bring a model in, so that the owners can see my work without too many distractions and tonight fellow LJ user "Sordid Out" is the happy candidate. She's no stranger to my craft or even the modelling scenario. I'm hoping to get an early start with her so that we can re-blonde her without haste.
Q: And a haircut to follow?
A: Exactly. Nothing crazy, unless she has some new vision, but I'm hoping to get a few fresh pointers from the masters at Liquid.
Q: Evening plans? It is Wednesday.
A: I hadn't planned on the cha-cha ce soir, but what the heck, if I'm "feeling it" I may endeavour to further my "making an ass of myself in public" adventures.
