Things're looking UP
It feels -so good- to be dancing again!! And I'm meeting people and making friends and I finally feel like I fit in a little at the university here.
I have a couple friends in French Classes and we're starting to talk about getting a practice group together. I'm having a blast in dance, and am starting to feel like I fit in, because honestly I'm a pretty decent dancer...not the best in the class, but not the least talented either, and I'm really happy with that. I'm LOVING my History class (in which I'm giving a guest lecture next week that I'm super excited about!). I have a couple of non-class friends too. AND I have met a few faculty in my office building who are really interesting AND really interested in my work!
All in all, things are just really good right now! This semester is going to be awesome. Which is great, because I was a bit worried after last semester...the whole fulbright adventure really got off to a very rocky start and I was quite afraid that it wasn't going to be all that I had hoped for...but now I think maybe we're finally getting there!
