turns out that the lobby of the Philly Sheraton smells just like the lobby of the NOLA Sheraton (which in turn smells just like my Demeter fig leaf perfume, I think). I suppose it's not a coincidence, and I shouldn't really be that surprised, but I am.
also, our bathroom has fleur-de-lis wallpaper. is it possible to be homesick for a place that's not your home?
