So, um, yeah, new Franz. How about that. I could kiss Mr Kapranos for writing a song about loving New Yorkers and leaving New York, but it seems rather inappropriate, to say the least. I'm not fully coherent about the album, despite having listened to it (well, and the War Child album, and a bit of Ben Folds) all weekend long. And to think that I was expecting to coast on the aftershocks of another delightfully tipsy Bloc Party show.
Speaking of delightfully tipsy... upgrade that to ragingly drunk on Wednesday night and you wind up with flask/boobie pr0n with
ursamajr:
alas, worksafe.
So we're on the third round...
...and Adrienne starts taking overhead pictures...
...and then they're outta booze, so out comes the flask. But wait, why hold the damn thing when you have boobies and a straw?
voila! instant lacy flaskholder!
t00bs approve!
The following day, I gave in to a three-year-old urge and ate fish sushi for the first time. I was all sorts of innovative last week.
I have an interview with the NYU law school on Tuesday. They seem to be under the impression that I'd make a decent
network technician:
Responsibilities: Provide basic hardware, software, and applications support for a lab or department which may have multiple locations and/or a complex technical environment including specialized technologies or systems that must interface with the network. Monitor and oversee the units local area networks (LANs) and PCs, which requires an operational understanding of the unique systems or applications of the unit and their implications/requirements for the technical infrastructure. May provide guidance to junior technical support staff.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and some relevant technical training. 2 years' related experience. Experience providing customer support in an IT environment. Understanding of computing procedures and standards and desktop and network configurations. Expertise in both network hardware and software to serve as a resource to junior technical support staff on the majority of standard procedures and some non-recurring problems and non-standard situations. Relevant certification and experience providing technology support to a lab or department in a university setting, including knowledge of specialized software, systems, or technologies preferred.
I'm rather inclined to disagree with them, but they'll figure that out on their own, methinks. When I haven't been panicking over the fact that I know jackshit about networking, I've been considering whether they can cope with the
Alex suit, now that I've found a lovely tomato red blouse. Anything to distract myself from my impending doom. I fucking hate interviews.
ooh, and
one quick plug on the live show poll before I start uploading. Right now, the first round will be Death Cab, Green Day, Morrissey, the Postal Service, and U2, followed by all three Franz shows. I coulda predicted that shit.
