The gap is almost filled in. I had to go do some re-working cause I found I'd written the same big revelation scene twice. This is what happens when you write parts of a novel seven years apart. I beefed up some minor characters to bring in the common people's opinion. The common people are stupid. Ah well, one of them is going to have a big role coming up. He's a goofy kind of IT guy, romantic underneath it all, bless him. Knight bloody errant. The threatening threat doesn't seem all that threatening now it's looming. Think I'll have to go all drama queen to make all that cowering over-reaction believable. I mean, part of me is going 'Really, THIS is what you all are going on about?'
Can I just say how much I love 8Tracks? It is my go-to music app for writing. My new fave is Once Upon a Time fanmixes, like Broken Souls and My Demons Never Die. Yowsza. And I'm like six episodes behind with OUAT. If my eyeballs weren't bleeding I'd go watch some.
Try to picture me typing away in my fingerless gloves, one Jake and one Finn.
I am also way behind on Adventure Time. #2 tells me the first two episodes this season were 'deep'. I'm almost frightened to watch
Fun fact: #1 son came in and asked me if I'd ever heard I Will Follow You (Death Cab for Cutie). Son, says I, I wrote a John/Delenn fanfic based on that very song!
He was not impressed. But he played me a new song he liked-- 'Let Her Go' by Passenger. Good taste, that boy, although not in 'ships.
