The Mommy Wars: A Truce Declared

Apr 14, 2012 08:32

Four mothers walked into a bar...

They ordered a cosmopolitan, a peach daiquiri, a glass of red wine, and a martini. They were dressed in a suit, jeans, a flowered dress, and sweatpants. They came from the city, a small town, the suburbs, and the country.

They toasted each other and asked, "How are the kids?"

Back came the responses: "Good!", "Fine!", "Doing okay!", and "Super!"

They knocked back their drinks and ordered another.

"Hell of a day," said one. "Heck of a week," said another. "OMG this month," said the third. "What a year," said the last.

Finishing their drinks, they shook hands all around, agreed to do this again soon, and left to go to their home, desk, meeting, and the store.

The End.

apologies to JMS, Lennier, and Vir for poaching their scene.
