An excellent exhibition

These are only samples of the magnificent work of the Czech painter and illustrator Zdeněk Burian. He was an illustrator of my childhood books, adventure books about brave men and women. He is still an icon of paleolontological reconstructions of long exctinct animals - a study of diluvial creatures and our oldest ancestors was his speciality.
I was lucky to have 45 minutes for visiting an exhibition in České Budějovice. It was splendid! There were scenes I can still remember from my beloved books about Native Americans, about pilots, sailors, explorers or sci fi cosmonauts and mainly his pre-historic creatures. I was excited and the ladies there saw it and I was given a nice poster !
