Worthless Bauble

Aug 20, 2009 23:46

I am just worthless bauble,
Shiny and pretty, this is true,
But I have no value to you.

You picked me up from ground,
Brushed off the dirt in which I had been found,
And for a time, you made me feel truly loved.

But I could not satisfy your inner need,
For a precious stone fit for a king,
And be the Jewel in the center of your ring.

So you went and crushed me,
And scattered me to the wind,
Never looking back at me ever again.

feelings, gems, baubles, jewels, poems
