When: Uh, "late afternoon?"
What: Suzaku is meeting Lelouch at the isolated park.
Rating: PG-13.
There was no sound so he was unable to listen to his hesitant footsteps getting closer and closer to the park with every step he took. Suzaku didn't want to meet Lelouch. He didn't want to see his face. He just wasn't ready yet. It had been months since he last saw his best friend; the one he had known almost all his life, the one that he immediately recognized on that one fateful day and the one that he had killed with his very own hands. Just the thought of that day caused his stomach to churn, his heart to thump hard against his chest, and his eyes to form bitter tears from behind his eyelids.
Suzaku swallowed the lump that had suddenly formed in his throat as he realized that he had finally made it to the park. It was dark, but with the help of the moon and the stars, he was able to see where everything was displayed. He didn't spot the rather thin figure of his friend and he couldn't help but to feel relieved, however he knew that Lelouch will - sooner or later - arrive. That caused him to grow tense once more and nervous even as he raised his gaze to meet with the stars in the sky.
I'm not ready yet, but it'll be nice to see him again.
