Thankfully, LJ emails replies to messages, if you're the thread starter. :-)
Any recs on fairly nearby restaurants that are somewhat 'unique' (i.e. not commonly available in most states) to Chicago and are yummy? I heard Gino's (8725 W. Higgins Rd) is good--though, a former employee said they had roaches (and not the marijuana type)... Then again, I just killed a roach (Florida has too many bugs) in my kitchen last week, so... {shrug} No seafood, please, says the half-Japanese gal.
Recs on sights to see? Something a bit backwards about a Floridian traveling north for tourism. I like science and I know I'll be hitting the 'Museum Campus' (Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, and Adler Planetarium) area and getting one of those 'City Passes' for Thursday and then maybe heading out to the Lincoln Park/Zoo side on Sunday. Fitting in Museum of Science and Industry.
Thursday and Sunday are my 'tourist' days with Friday and Saturday, of course, being for Vividcon... well, maybe early mornings and/or late evenings I could go exploring. {g}
Thanks,
Dina
