Time to relax a bit
I survived another day of the Sex and the City promotion! Yay!
The manager shuffled our positions a bit and I ended up on the side of the building with him and our "bouncer". We were able to amuse ourselves and hand out a few hundred gamecards.
Chris, our manager, is also an actor (though in tv/film) so we had some interestung conversations about auditions and what is in production and in development at the moment. He's actually a really interesting guy to work with.
Today is my dear friend, thunderemerald 's birthday!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LADY!!!
I would love to be in the park with her and some friends for a celebratory picnic today, but I have some auditions and appointments. Then tonight, one of my friends from MASS is singing in Verdi's Requiem at Hunter College! A bunch of us from the cast are going. AND I just learned that an old friend of mine is playing in the orchestra! Yay! Many hugs :)
Anyway, the audition I have today is for a music video for a new indie artist. I would be playing a mythical Siren. Y'know those women who sing seductively and lure men to crash their ships on the rocks and drown? Yup. I'd be one of those.
It wouldn't pay much, but it sounds like a fun one-day gig and I would have another clip for my tv/film submission reel.
Also, I have decided to learn how to make dumplings. I wish to have this knowledge for myself so that I may prepare my own dumplings whenever and wherever I wish. I have decided that this will make me happy :)
I'm off to prepare for the day!
