So Ready :)
I am on TOP of this audition tomorrow :) I usually have at least some nerves when auditioning, but knowing that there is someone on the panel who is definitely on my side pretty much takes care of that. Even if I don't book the job, I know it's not because they didn't think I was good enough.
Pam Berlin is a wonderful director and a pleasure to work with. She's very open to actor input and interpretation as well. A dream.
Since this show is Leonard Bernstein's Mass, she asked me to bring a song with light jazz/blues feel as well as a contrasting traditional musical theatre song.
Well, "With Every Breath I Take" is my go-to jazz number, and I'm also bringing "Something Wonderful" from The King & I. I've played the role and it shows off a nice Mezzo Soprano.
I have all my sheet music. I am updating my resume as we speak. I have my outfit chosen and pressed. I will pop the bread ingredients into the breadmaker tonight for Rod.
I can't wait to see my headshots all touched up!!!
