Put Up or Shut Up
I promised myself I would try to post everyday, and I have been horrible at keeping up with that. Sorry.
So here's where we are in the long road to the Oscars...
Ronald has finished writing a feature we have titled 'Future 86" a love tragedy set in Miami between a complacement writer and a girl who's like has hit bottom and wants to better herself. it's a very good story, not my style of film (In my films all ends wrapped up in a pretty bow) but I trust Ronald.
I have decided to produce this film and have so much on my plate it is unbelievable.
I'm naturally one to produce, i much rather direct, but i'm put in a position were I'm the only one who CAN produce this thing.
Me and producing have a LOVE/HATE relationship. I really enjoy breaking down scripts, working on marketing, getting people together and being in charge of running things, I love feeling like "Jerry Bruckheimer" what i DON'T like is that fact that movies are 99% about money.
If you know me you know i HATE money, I hate dealing with it, and most of my job is centered around finding money, HOW THE FUCK IS ANY HUMAN BEING SUPPOSE TO FIND $30,000.00 for a film when he can barely pay his own bills?
I'm trying my hardest to be organized and do this by the books but it just seems more and more impossible every day.
I know that "Nothing good comes easy" but fuck man, money like this isn't something people just throw around.
I just hope that i can muster up all my strength and figure out some way to get this movie made.
